I, the author of this book, was born and raised Amish. (But you don't have to be just to make the taste-bud inspiring candy.)

The Amish lifestyle is pretty much void of modern conveniences. The recipes in this book are updated for modern kitchens - each recipe tested, tasted, and tweaked to be as perfect as possible and yet easy to make.

The recipes in this book are the result of Amish childhood memories and conversations with siblings. They are based on my Mom's Peanut Butter Cups recipe (included in the book) and on other Amish recipes perused for techniques and suggestions.
