Car Dancing

Car Dancing tells the story of Kolby Dawson’s journey from fear to freedom. She’s a quirky young woman who’s perfected the art of avoidance. Unexpected circumstances force her hand, and she must decide to either face her fears or run. As it turns out, the decision isn’t that hard, and she makes her escape to Kendall Cove, Oregon. She believes she will finally experience the blissful life of anonymity and the freedom she desires, but the fear that rides just under the surface soon makes itself known.  She comes to realize her move is just about geography, not freedom. What she longs for requires that she finally let go of her painful past and relinquish it to God. With the continued encouragement and logical wisdom of her one loyal friend, Phoebe, and her unexpected safe place, Ruben, her view of God slowly changes. 


Unfortunately, not all of Kolby’s new acquaintances have her best interest at heart, and her past history soon resurfaces in a new and sinister way. Through facing what she fears the most, she learns that God’s plan for her life is far greater than the pain from her past, redefining her perception of herself and of God.


My name is Debi Coccellato. I’m a pastor’s wife and co-laborer with my husband running a full-time ministry focused on helping men gain freedom from bondage and finding their fulfillment in the Lord. I take from my own life’s experiences, creating characters and telling stories of brave women who have dared to trust God and overcome some of life’s biggest struggles. It is my desire to encourage, empower, and entertain my readers, and most importantly point them to the Father who will help them meet their life’s biggest challenges as victors.
