Clinical Cases in Equine Reproduction

The goal of this eBook is to provide students, practicing veterinarians and horse owners with an assortment of real clinical cases that outline diagnostic techniques and therapeutic protocols. The electronic version offers a wide variety of embedded videos and links to websites designed to enhance learning.

Volume 1 is comprised of 25 clinical cases: eight in the non-pregnant mare, two in the pregnant mare, three in the foaling mare, two in the postpartum mare, four in foals and six in the stallion.. A variety of    common and unusual cases were selected from the clinical services at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory at Colorado State University.

There are a variety of management protocols, diagnostic techniques and therapeutic options that can be utilized in a reproductive practice or a breeding farm. We realize that others may have chosen different pathways for diagnosis and treatment. Not all of our clinical cases were a success. However, we learned from every case.  

Ultimately, education should be a life-long endeavor for all.
