Coming of Age as an Artist

Coming of Age as an Artist follows my summer journey of seeking artistic expression through the medium of watercolor. Guided by spontaneity, flow, process and focus, this journey is narrated with colorful quotes from artists, musicians, philosophers, therapists, scholars and  other mad men. Each quote includes a link to the Internet source. Fun widgets explore alternative art through digital effects and video.


Coming of Age as an Artist topics include Spontaneous Creativity, Flow Psychology, Zen and Wu Wei, the Fluxus Movement, Process Art, the Role of Focus in Artistic Development, and the Importance of Authenticity to the Artist. This book is my perspective on what it means to come of age as an artist. I encourage every artist to take your own journey to discover what ‘coming of age as an artist’ means to you.
