Utgivarens beskrivning

This fictional story of a young native American girl follows her journey of studying with her grandmother who is a powerful well respected medicine woman. Dancing Feather struggles with her self-doubt about her abilities even after experiencing success as she faces the high standards of her teacher. Living during the time that the Europeans were invading her peoples’ land, she faces tragedies and deep pain that seem insurmountable to her. Despite all this, she finds pure love and a deep connection with a man who is also a healer. Her awakening is filled with extraordinary experiences, visions, insights about the healing arts, and profound information about the energy in all things. Illustrating much of the native culture and way of life, the story provides an inside view of an often-misunderstood society. Many of the healing experiences are based on actual events from the author’s life and most of Part 2 is based heavily on her life as well. Having studied with a native teacher for over 25 years, the author draws on the rich knowledge passed to her and now through her to enrich her readers.
