George Borrow and His Circle

George Henry Borrow was born on July 5, 1803, in his maternal grandfather's farmhouse in Dumpling Green near East Dereham. He was an English author who wrote novels and travel books based on his experience. He loved traveling, and his high aptitude of languages allowed him to travel through Europe.

He visited many countries in Europe, such as Spain, Ireland, Russia, Turkey, and places in Great Britain, such as Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Cornwall and the Isle of Man. He died on July 26, 1881 in Lowestoft.
