Hesitate

When I opened the file and saw her face, I knew I was in trouble. 
 
The first time she put her hand in mine, I should have simply taken her home and continued to keep her safe from a distance. But her pull was too strong, her beauty too irresistible,and before I knew it was happening, she'd brought me to my knees.
 
I wasn't the only one who was falling, though. She loved the man I pretended to be, and it killed me to know that when she found out who I really was, the hurt I caused her was something I couldn't protect her from.
