Documentary: I don't wanna live this life
Henke and Sebastian are in the 20s. Constantly they have death around. One after another their friends are dying. Then when Jonny, their best friend, jumps from Angered Bridge in Gothenburg everything falls apart. A shot of the drug GHB is the only consolation. Henke and Sebastian live a life without joy, a life they do not want to live anymore.
In recent years there have been a number of deaths within the same circle of young people in the Gothenburg area. There are a group that largely grew up together in a fairly regular neighborhood mainly inhabited by Swedish workers and small businesses. The causes of death have been car crashes, murders, suicides and overdoses of drugs. The joint has been used for all so-called “poor man’s drug” as GHB, GBL and tranquilizers, like Rohypnol.
We got in touch with some of them through a previous documentary, “Under the dark sky of the nation.” Many of their friends died young. We were shocked by the resignation and depravity that these young people had. Life spark seemed to be missing.
When one of the guys, as we come to know and filmed, killed himself by jumping from Angered Bridge, we decided to make a documentary.
