Jessie Mae Chris{t} -- Jesus' Twin Sister

One bright April morning in 1944, while her Mama was combing out her very curly black hair before school, a precocious seven year old girl in South Central Los Angeles slammed her Bible closed and cried out in exasperation:   

            "When is a girl going to be God's only begotten daughter?  When are Negroes going to be the chosen people?  When is the Bible going to tell us about God's mother?  Is everything always just going to be about the Father and the Son?  That's all they teach me in Sunday School and that's all I read in the Bible!  Not fair.  Junior and Daddy have all the fun, they always get to be outside having fun while you, Elenora, and Chanie stay inside and do all the work.  God tells everyone what to do but He never chooses women or girls to be special.  It's criminatory!"

            This book is about just how that little girl's unique --but not all that unusual – prayer to know and love the Divine Feminine in herself was finally answered.  It tells the story of how she and what she was looking for eventually found each other.

            Jessie Mae, whose existence had been erased and forgotten down through time, had been waiting until it was her moment to come forth to illuminate some of the forgotten words and misunderstood lessons from her brother's teachings, gleaned from the universal wisdom of the ages.

            The conversations between Jessie Mae and her twin brother Jesus shed a uniquely authentic light on some of the most powerful and revered words and ideas attributed to Jesus.  This light can help all of us – since we each have that all-powerful "X" chromosome in our cells  -- dig deeper into our own spirituality, claim our own power, and celebrate our own divinity.
