Leading in Worship

It seems simple enough, but leading in worship is an art. It takes preparation. When done “off the cuff” the service can get derailed. Even worse, God’s glory may be overshadowed by a distracting, unnecessary focus on the leader. “Leading in Worship” is a brief guide to help prepare assistant pastors, elders, and other leaders who do not normally lead in worship get a handle on what is expected of them. Senior Pastors and worship staff know the dance. They do it every week. When others step in to lead they find that in the middle of the service they realize they failed to think about this part or that. This little book takes some of the pressure off by walking through topics such as calling the church to worship, preparing and leading in Communion, leading in prayer, and closing the service.
