Maiden in Manhattan

Scottish maiden Isobeille Aislinn McKenna isn't like the other lasses.  She is curious about the world around her and wants more than a life of servitude and obeisance.  When her abusive father arranges her marriage in order to pay his debts, she prays for divine intervention.

Her prayers are answered, and Isobeille suddenly finds herself six hundred years in the future – directly in the path of a bus in the heart of one of the busiest cities on the East Coast.

Reluctant do-gooder Nick Peterson is there to tackle her out of its path, but he's not happy about it. He's already on the outs with his girlfriend and running very late for a date that he's hoping will get things back on track. 

Both his conscience and his protective instincts kick in in a big way when he realizes Isobeille has nowhere else to go.   Nick fights the sudden and instant attraction he has for the sweet and docile Isobeille, but does he really stand a chance against Fate?
