Utgivarens beskrivning

Custom and title are also linked to both political and church law because they both have the force of law, at least if the required conditions hold true. Not every custom or title has the force of law; only those that are just, agree with reason and the Word of God, and are approved by the will of the people. I should now say a few words about these things to clarify how much one can or cannot violate laws of custom and title in political and ecclesiastical affairs. Politics has its own customs and titles; the church has its own, which we should never act against. Still, we should differentiate between the two types.
