Written by famed naturalist and conservationist John Muir, this early 20th-century work examines several national parks found in the western United States. Six chapters examine the forests, meadows, animals and natural features of Yosemite National Park. Other chapters examine Yellowstone National Park and the Sequoia and General Grant National Parks (today Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks). Muir's text is accompanied by numerous photographs and illustrations.
