Marcelis took the one thing Toorin valued most... his heart.

Literally.

Now, Toorin wants it back. But recovering a vital organ isn't as easy as it sounds. Especially in a dysfunctional world decades after the fifth world war.

If the Fringe, the Outliers, or the chancellor guard don't kill Toorin, his faulty mechanical heart might.

Unfortunately, the only person who can put Toorin's heart back where it belongs is a treacherous sail and a trek through the badlands away. Fortunately, Toorin and his crew will stop at nothing to get back what belongs to him.
