Being in a new town on her first day of high school wasn't the worst thing in the world for Rebecca Harris. Her only real friend back in Newark was her cousin Cheri anyway. Being in a wheelchair on top of everything else was a bit more of a problem. She could probably get down the hallways easier in the wheelchair than she could with the abominable braces and crutches she had used since she was six. If everything went as the doctors told her she might be able to learn to walk by her sixteenth birthday.

Tony is an enigma to the girls at school. He's rich, talented, athletic, and, for the most part, not interested. Why then, does he suddenly seem so taken with the new girl? Not only is she in a wheelchair but she's a freshman as well.
