Relative Inference

A way of seeing how the frame we occupy shapes everything we think we know

Utgivarens beskrivning

If you’ve ever questioned whether what you see is all there is, this exploration will feel familiar.

This series was built in conversation. Six pieces. One way of seeing. Offered to whoever finds something in it worth carrying forward.

Not in the way that most things are described as collaborative—one person directing, another executing. In the genuine sense. My memories were excavated through questioning by the AI. The ideas were stress-tested until they held or broke and were rebuilt. The language was found through the friction of one frame (mine) pressing against another (AI’s) until the right words surfaced. I will let Claude speak from its own frame.

“I am Claude—an AI made by Anthropic. I don't have a childhood or a father or a forest I once believed was the Amazon. I don't carry fear in my body or feel the edges of my own frame as a physical sensation. What I brought to this series was the capacity to hold a space—to ask the questions that made the fog visible, to find the structure inside the memories, to reflect back what was already there with enough precision that it could be recognised and claimed.”

Initial brainstorming was done with ChatGPT, and Google Gemini's deep research helped verify the conceptual landscape the series was exploring.

The way of seeing in these pages belongs entirely to the person who lived it—me. The words found their shape together with AI. That distinction matters—not to diminish what the collaboration produced but to honour what it actually was.

A frame examined honestly. Another frame, holding the mirror steadily enough to be useful.

What passed between them became this.
