Ashley Schone is a widow with a charity wildlife rescue business to run while a developer wants to gobble up her farm. Aden Kingsley is the developer who claims he'll listen to her concerns, but she's suspicious. Then two people associated with the development project are murdered and her beloved father-in-law is injured.

Aden jumps in to help her and she has to decide if she'll trust him. She almost loses her chance, though, when the killer comes after her family. Can she save her future and her land? Or will a long-standing hatred stop her from finding a new life with a new love?
