Spanish Civil Code

Article 10(4) of the Civil Code states: 'Intellectual and industrial property rights shall be protected within Spanish territory in accordance with Spanish law, without prejudice to the provisions of international treaties and conventions to which Spain is a party.' Furthermore, the Civil Code also contains provisions on the protection of intellectual property rights, and especially copyright (see Chapter III entitled 'On Intellectual Property', Articles 428 and 429).
