Teaching the Language of a Lab Report

This guide is meant as a support for science teachers to provide language instruction for secondary students within science classrooms.  It is organized around four sections of a science lab report: starting question, hypothesis, method, and evaluation & analysis.  Select language structures are described in each chapter, then teaching strategies are provided with an emphasis on integrating language instruction within science content lessons.  Charts, lists, graphic organizers, and links to other resources are embedded throughout.
