When audio engineer Jack Foster buys a forgotten prototype reverb unit from the liquidation of a legendary 1980s recording bunker, he thinks he's scoring the deal of a lifetime. He wants vintage gear, not the mystery surrounding The Neon God, the New Wave band that vanished inside AlpenHohl Studio without leaving so much as a final track. He brings the Echo-X into his home studio. That's when the trouble starts. The machine doesn't echo, rather, it remembers.

A single tap turns into a whisper that shouldn't exist. A breath slides through the headphones with no source. The air grows heavy. The walls shift. And the decay dial moves on its own, climbing toward a place no human ear should ever reach. When a winter storm traps him in the house, Jack realizes the Echo-X has opened a door. To a room that was sealed for a reason. A room that stores silence the way lungs store air. A room that grows stronger every time a sound is made. Something inside it listens. Something made of pressure and vibration. Something that has waited decades for a voice to finish the track it started.

Jack must stay quiet while navigating a house that no longer behaves like a house, while a sound-shadow stalks him through the dark, and while a long-dead band sings from a place deeper than any real bunker. If he threads the tape, the dead room will take him. If he refuses, it will find another way in.

The Dead Room is a visceral, suffocating descent into sonic horror, where the scariest thing isn't what you see, it's what you hear coming back that should never have been recorded in the first place.
