People and goods travelled durting the 1800s to and fro over the rugged Santa Fe Trail from Independence, Missouri to Santa Fe, New Mexico which was a challenging task of about 1200 miles. The travellers had to worse conditions such as rattlesnakes, harsh weather conditions without food and water.
