Isaiah "Izzy" Sprouse is an eighteen year old who manages to accidentally burn his brother to death. He ends up at St. Orlando's Orphanage where he encounters Giovanni "Gio" Kitsch.

Giovanni Kitsch is a nineteen year old loner with no weight on his shoulder aside from his infamous bully. His past is unknown as he barely recalls his family. He bonds with Izzy who is cold, off put, and is in some ways similar to Gio himself.
