Young Vasily Alexseyev inherits a great manufactory but must wait for his mother to step down as regent. She's worried that the dilettante Vasily isn't ready. Impatient to claim his mantle, and resentful over his perceived mistreatment, Vasily takes matters into his own hands: he injects something of himself into the Works' mainframe computer.
