Village Voice

Percy Main Amateurs FC is a football club in the 11th tier of English football. Competing in the Northern Alliance and several Cup competitions every season, the Villagers (as they are know in northern parts) carry the flag for a historic club that bears 90-odd years of history on its shoulders. Doing the club proud both on and off the pitch, no matter what the conditions, is not an easy task.


Football writer, blogger and Percy Main convert Ian Cusack volunteered to chronicle that task and at the same time write a short history of the club while commentating on the season's campaign to win promotion and gain a bit of Cup glory to boot.


Full of barnstorming comebacks, rousing commentary and emotional highs and lows, this is the story of Percy Main Amateurs FC 2009/2010 season. Come on lads!
