Acheen, and the Ports On the North and East Coasts of Sumatra

The objective of this publication is to draw the attention of the British Government and its public to some British colonies in Southeast Asia and their commercial potential. History of the Kingdom of Acheen especially the disputes amongst the rulers and the British intervention are highlighted. It also features the commercial relationship between the British Government in the Straits of Malacca and the states on the east coast of Sumatra.
