Construction Equipment Brake Systems


This training course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to perform tasks related to servicing and maintaining brake systems found on items of engineer equipment.


Diesel Fuel Systems


This training course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary for performing tasks related to the adjustment, repair, or replacement of components of diesel fuel systems found on items of engineering construction equipment. The course is presented in five lessons, each corresponding to a specific learning objective. The prime job of the diesel fuel system is to inject a precise amount of atomized and pressurized fuel into each engine cylinder at the proper time. Combustion in the diesel engine occurs when this charge of fuel is mixed with hot compressed air. No electrical spark is used (as in the gasoline engine). The diesel fuel injection system must supply the correct quantity of fuel, time the fuel delivery, control the delivery rate, atomize the fuel, and distribute the fuel evenly through the cylinder.


Repairer Hydraulic Systems


This course is designed to teach the basic skills required to adjust and repair hydraulic pumps and valves used on engineer construction equipment. Information is provided on positive displacement pumps and control valves and the procedures required to disassemble, adjust or repair, and reassemble them.


Construction Equipment Steering Systems


This training course teaches you how to diagnose malfunctions, make adjustments, and repair a clutch and brake steering system and a power steering system.


Test, Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment


This training course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to properly use the various test, measuring, and diagnostic equipment needed to perform various tasks related to the repair of engineer construction equipment. The course is presented in six lessons each of which corresponds to a specific learning objective.
