Dark Affairs: Beginnings

As the first book in the new Dark Affairs series, Beginnings follows four individuals and their twisted desires and dynamic relationships. Tom, an executive who loves his job more than his wife struggles to hold his life together as his secretary Veronica seeks to control him by any means necessary. His wife Amy, feeling neglected and alone, turns to her step-son Jack for comfort in her moment of need. As our story unfolds things only become more complicated as their relationships are turned on their heads.

This short story (just over 4,000 words) will set us up to follow the evolving dynamics of the group as they each struggle for dominance. Be sure to read No Going Back (which focuses on the rapidly evolving romance between Amy and Jack) as well as Entrapment (which follows Veronica in her attempts to control Tom.)
