A crackling science fiction adventure—think Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park—as a young Professor Richard King, aka Doc, ventures into the depths of the Amazon in search of an alien shipwreck and the incredible knowledge within the hulking superstructure’s decayed, overgrown decks and holds.
After a stomach-turning flight to Manaus, Brazil on a Ford Tri-Motor and a treacherous upriver journey deep into the heart of the Amazon, Doc and his local guide, Ephrain, make contact with a circumspect tribal elder warning that others have already passed through his village in search of the shipwreck. With no time to lose, the pair hack a trail through the dense jungle to a precipitous ravine gouged hundreds of years before by the crashed ship. Descending a sheer cliff, Doc treks into a lost world teeming with exposed gem deposits, exotic orchids, and creatures long thought extinct before discovering others had already reached the ship. Now what?
Encountering cannibals, spies, traitors, and creatures straight out of Edgar Rice Burroughs, a knowledge embedded in Doc’s brain illuminates humanity’s future in a radiant blue glow.
