Fairy Tales for Toddlers

Even the youngest of children love fairy tales. However, it is very hard to find appropriate fairy tales for 1-2 year-olds, most fairy tales being admittedly too violent for these age groups, since originally they were not intended for children at all and only gradually developed into children´s tales.


This edition was specially prepared for children at the age of 1-2 years and adapted to their peculiar needs. It consists of stories that have either been written anew or retold after the motifs of famous fairy tales of different nations. The selection principle required that a fairy tale be brief, told in simple words, full of kindness and teaching children a moral.


The present edition is provided with many colourful illustrations (31 illustrations) . It would be possible, when reading these stories aloud to toddlers, to show them these picures and to discuss them together.
