Publisher Description
Habu doesn’t write the blood and guts brand of horror, but when Halloween contests appear on the horizon, he looks for appropriate themes for this holiday to write about. Thus, his brand of horror is more of the “beyond this world” surprise, danger, testing and even, yes, death. It often has a touch of the supernatural. One line of horror that he has explored extensively is that of vampires. Habu’s vampires don’t follow much of the tradition of what vampires are and what they can or can’t do. That’s all a collection of imaginary, not medical fact, anyway. Habu’s vampires are sexy and live on the extraction of essences during glorious sex—and because habu’s primary genre is Gay Male, these are man-to-man couplings. They can end in the death of the prey or the recruitment of him. Habu offers no convoluted reasoning on why it’s one way or the other in a specific case. It’s whatever serves that story.
This anthology is a collection of eleven recently written Halloween holiday stories, all written for contest competition. The stories are divided in two sections: six of habu’s horror stories and five-work selection of his vampire stories.
Warnings: Contains graphic description of both consensual and nonconsensual debilitating sex with vampires
