'Heathen Slaves and Christian Rulers' written by Elizabeth Wheeler Andrew and Katharine C. Bushnell, exposes the hidden realities of brothel slavery, domestic slavery, and low-wage labor in Asia, and how these have been erroneously accepted as characteristics of the Christian civilization by people living in the continent. Although the language and concept can be dated to today's sensibilities, it provides an interesting look of how Christianity views slavery overseas, as seen through the lens of these two female authors.
