Last Watch

A retired Coast Guard captain must take back a hijacked luxury cruise ship—before thousands of unsuspecting passengers, including his own family, become collateral damage in this high-octane thriller from the co-author of the New York Times bestseller 3 Days to Live.

Retirement was supposed to be Quinn Doughty’s second chance.

After decades in the Coast Guard, Quinn books a luxury cruise to reconnect with his wife and teenage daughter—the family he fears he’s sacrificed to a life at sea. But before the vacation has truly begun, the world’s largest cruise ship is quietly hijacked by a team of former special operators led by the brilliant and ruthless Sam Bartell.

The passengers never realize they’re trapped.

While thousands continue sipping cocktails, lounging by the pool, and chasing vacation bliss, Bartell’s crew systematically seizes control of the ship. But this is no ordinary hijacking. The mercenaries have come aboard with a meticulously orchestrated plan—and whatever they’re after, the ship and its unsuspecting passengers are only part of it.

Then Quinn stumbles onto the conspiracy, and suddenly the retired captain is the lone obstacle standing between Bartell and a flawless escape.

Forced into an unlikely partnership with an arrogant young television star, Quinn must outmaneuver and outfight a team of elite mercenaries across a floating city at sea. With his family caught in the crossfire and time running out, he’ll have to call on every instinct his years in the Coast Guard taught him—and prove that some captains never stop fighting for the people they’re sworn to protect.

Packed with pulse-pounding action, razor-sharp humor, authentic maritime detail, and unforgettable characters, Last Watch is a blockbuster thriller about redemption, resilience, and the extraordinary lengths one man will go to save his family.
