Notes Concerning the Wampanoag Tribe of Indians

This volume contains numerous addresses given by the author to the Rhode Island Historical Society on a number of occasions. They all include accounts of Massasoit of the Wampanoag tribe and his son Metacomet, or King Philip. The author offers extensive detail regarding the violent conflicts between the Wampanoag and their allies and the European settlers; it later became known as King Philip's War.
