Lyra left her hometown almost forty years ago and never looked back. It’s time to return to Shadowridge, clean out her parents’ rental, and put it up for sale. But coming home brings back memories of her first love, the man who rocked her world for one night—a man she never saw again after that summer.



Rock has been with the Shadowridge Guardians for his entire adult life. His first love left town, taking his heart with her. He lost his second love, his wife, to cancer several years ago. Rock considers himself too old to risk love a third time, but then he learns Lyra is back in town…
