Savitar

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon comes the long-awaited story of Savitar, an enigmatic immortal Chthonian sworn to protect humankind from the gods, forced at last to choose between the peace he's guarded for centuries and the survival of the world.

Being born human is hard enough.
Being born a Chthonian is a curse.

Centuries ago, Savitar learned the hard way that he was not only immortal but destined to protect humans from the gods who preyed upon them—and those powers made him a target, hunted by the gods and by those who feared them alike.
Alone, he survived on his wits, denying who and what he truly was.

Then he met the one creature who would change him forever, and glimpsed a prophecy he'd never dreamed existed. But things rarely unfold as they should, least of all when enemies are bent on your destruction. So Savitar withdrew from the world, refusing his destiny and the prophecy along with it.

Now… both are back, and his enemies with them. They will force him to take a side at last: his hard-won peace and his very existence, or the world as we know it.

Two destinies lie before him.
Only one can save humanity.
