Seymour "Blue Jaw" Magoon was a driver for Murder Inc. He was driving the car that brought killers into the Bronx in 1939 when Irving Penn was murdered by mistake. Penn was a music publisher who died of his wounds at Fordham University hospital. Magoon's father was a Jewish barber who'd immigrated to the United States from Russia. By 1939 Magoon had accumulated nine arrests. He had a single conviction for coercion.
