Publisher Description

ABSTRACT In this paper, we show that an effective use of a graphics calculator in an introductory statistics course can enhance students' performance in the course. Moreover, the use of a graphics calculator in the classroom can help increase the students' retention level of the material learned (3, 4) as compared to a traditional classroom teaching. We compare the retention level by analyzing students' grades on a comprehensive Final Exam.
