Tom Robbins Incognito

Join writer and photographer Christian Martin on a whimsical journey across northwestern Washington State in search of renowned novelist Tom Robbins. From Robbins’ bucolic hometown of La Conner to a dive bar in Seattle, Martin seeks a personal audience with the author of Another Roadside Attraction, Jitterbug Perfume, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and other best-selling cult classics. 


The resulting interview Martin eventually lands with the self-described “Admirer of Clouds, Part-time Buddha and Menace to Society” features insights into the author’s writing process, love of the Pacific Northwest’s weather and thoughts on the importance of freedom of speech, independent thinking and defying societal taboos.
