Dr. Karen Shackleford Allen is a native of Birmingham, Alabama where she continues to reside, work, and worship. Karen is an ordained minister of the gospel, worship leader, author, and leadership specialist committed to compelling men and women to seek, serve, and worship God. She is the founder of Victory Focused Living, which was formed to reach as many as possible with His Word. Through Victory Focused Living she continues to share God’s message through inspirational writing, speaking engagements, and leadership training.


With over 30 years in the financial industry, Karen is a certified project manager, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management, a Master of Arts in Public and Private Management, and a PhD in Business Management with a specialization in Leadership. 


Karen’s mission is to compel as many as she possibly can to recognize Jesus as Lord, turn to Him, trust Him, serve Him, and seek His face daily. She is determined to continue work toward this mission until our Lord’s return.
