Jonathan Wade was born into a drab existence. From his first realization of his cheerless environment, he longs for escape. His chance finally comes in the form of an unexpected tragedy, and he grasps for the opportunity of his freedom. His "climb up the high mountain" is arduous as he encounters all the events that shape his life.
