Deceiving her Duke

Arabella Dixon's love for horses, and riding astride, lands her in a quandary when the Duke of Gilstead unknowingly demands she—disguised as his groom named Billy—accompany him on his rides with a new jumper he purchased. One ride becomes many, and a confusing friendship grows between the groom and the duke.

Gilstead enjoys the companionship of his groom a little too much. Then he meets the lovely Arabella and falls head over heels, but oddly, his feelings for his groom don't diminish. When he learns Arabella's secret, he's overwhelmed with relief, and sweeps her into a most passionate kiss, despite her breeches.

Someone witnesses the kiss, and word spreads through the ton linking Gilstead and his groom in a scandalous affair. The duke blames Arabella of a plot to disgrace him. Now she must uncover the truth of who's behind the lies.

She hopes to clear his name, but will she ever recapture his heart? For she knows she'll never love another man like she does the Duke of Gilstead.
