Down to the Bone

When the wife of a high-profile adventurer and TV historian is reported missing, DCI McLean is called upon to investigate. But with no sign of foul play, the case is handed over to a private investigator and seemingly wrapped up.

Meanwhile, it's quickly overshadowed by a much more sinister one. A series of violent attacks is leading to innocent civilians being hospitalised, each with identical slash wounds across their arms, legs and torso that refuse to heal.
