Publisher Description

Were you forced to endure poetry, told we had to rhyme, stick to rules and regulations? Do you recall having to gauge secret meanings behind the words the poet put on paper? I was but fortunately I learned to like it because I recognised the freedom it gave to put our own slant on what we read. I learned to love it because I recognised, I was not alone in how I felt.
Poetry is about exploring our feelings, about discovering the world and the thoughts of others, and most of all it is about connecting in one line, one verse, or one poem with the knowledge that you are not alone in your emotions and reactions.
Poetry can be long, short, shaped, rhyming, sad, serious, disciplined or expansive. Emotions in Existence comes to the reader in free verse, sonnet form and some very concise Japanese haiku, tanka and haibun. As klong as it comes from the heart and connects in some small way then poetry is a joy. Join me in my exploration.
