Hook and Hail

The narrator anticipates the weekly visits of Ryker Maddox, a ruthless crime lord enforcer collecting her alcoholic father's massive debt. She secretly hoards her own savings to keep the dangerous man coming back to her porch, completely unaware that Ryker paid off the debt himself months ago.
