Majoring in the Minors

They cover a crucial time in sacred and human history.  In Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah, the people of God are subjugated and hoping to emerge from their national judgment. In Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi, the Jews have returned, guests in their homeland of world powers who benignly allow them to engage in a Restoration Movement which will help pave the way for the coming of the Messiah in just a few centuries of time.  The content of these six books are less familiar and even more obscure to most people, including those who claim to believe and love the Bible, than the rest of Scripture.  For that reason, an in-depth look into these six inspired chapters of God’s book aids us in understanding God’s purpose and plan even better.  The men and women whose written work appears in these pages have thoroughly approached these Bible books, both textually and topically.
