Mammals of Canada

Canada’s mammals live in the sea, in the air and on land: 

• Humpback whales sing long songs to talk to each other.

• The bison is the largest land mammal in Canada. It can weigh as much as a small car.

• Cougars are good swimmers but they don’t like water.

• Bats eat while they are flying. A bat can eat up to 1000 insects in a night.
