Your Heart, God's Firebox

You are a Christian, you have put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you go to church regularly, and you pray and read your Bible. You know the Holy Spirit has come into your life and has given you the power to make changes in your life, changes that will please God. The Holy Spirit also puts in your heart a fire. But, you are not growing in the Lord like you thought you would. There just does not seem to be any fire in your relationship with God. 


In his book, Your Heart, God’s Firebox, Art Conrad gives you seven qualities from 2 Peter 1 that will take the fire God puts into your heart, and help it to grow from a flicker, to a flame, to a small fire, to an inferno.  You have to first know that these qualities are yours and then, that they are increasing.

 

The book will challenge every Christian, who desires to grow closer in their relationship with God, to make the effort, and to put forth the work necessary.


Art Conrad was not saved until he was 27. He went to college and seminary at the age of 38 and has now been a pastor for almost 25 years. He is also the executive director of Northern Light Ministries, a ministry that takes youth, father and son, and adult groups on adventure trips into the Canadian wilderness. He is also a conference speaker for reLight, a ministry that has challenged many to “Keep the Fire Burning.”
