Aboriginal Arts & Stories
A Look Back
Descripción editorial
Aboriginal Arts & Stories – A Look Back showcases winners of the Aboriginal Arts & Stories contest, in celebration of its tenth anniversary.
Aboriginal Arts & Stories invites First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth, ages 11 to 29, to share writing and artwork inspired by their culture and heritage for a chance to win prizes and national recognition. Close to 2,000 emerging Aboriginal writers and artists from every province and territory in Canada have participated in the contest since 2005.
The program is organized by Historica Canada, a national charitable organization with a mandate to build active and informed citizens through a greater knowledge and appreciation of the history, heritage and stories of Canada.
Aboriginal Arts & Stories – A Look Back is made possible by Enbridge, presenting sponsor of the Aboriginal Arts & Stories program.
Produced by the Walrus Foundation and Historica Canada.
Some stories contain mature subject matter and language.
