Well, that’s my life. I’m stuck in this house, trapped in this life. I thought things would get better once my father died, but I was wrong. Allowing my boyfriend to move in only made matters worse.

I spend each day cooking and cleaning, utterly dependent on my alcoholic mother and crazy boyfriend. With each day that passes, I feel more and more hopeless, and I’m scared this cycle of misery will never end.

My father abused my mother, and now my boyfriend is abusing me. Do I accept that this life is my fate? Or is the universe trying to show me another way?
