Suppose those of us who are Christians are correct, suppose Jesus is God, the Divine Son, then...

1) We should have only one Church, not these thousands of unique denominations that exist in the world. The scriptures are clear there is only one True Church, only one Bride of Christ, not multiple Brides of Christ.

2) We should be governed by the True Church. Who wants to be governed by secular governments which lead people to perdition whenever they rebel against God and Christianity and God's True Church? Just obey the True Church in all things and you will go to Heaven.

3) The idea of a True Church conjures up in the minds of many people images of evil kings, evil nobles, evil priests, evil henchmen torturing rebels in dark dungeons for century after century.

All those evils from former centuries don't prove that Christianity is a lie.  They merely prove that false churches exist.

If a church is lost in evil and heresy, and so it drags people down to eternal perdition, then it is a false church.

If a Church leads people to Heaven then it is the True Church.

1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 says you drink damnation into your soul if you celebrate Holy Communion in an unworthy manner.  Therefore, it only stands to reason that if you are in a church which gives the bread and the wine to people who openly proclaim that they support Anti-Christian things - pro-choicers, Sabbath violators, pro gay marriage people etc - then you are in a church which drags people down to eternal perdition.

Lord Acton told us in his essay `Human Sacrifice,'

'And yet, long after the last victim had fallen in honour of the sun-god of the Aztecs, the civilised nations of Christian Europe continued to wage wholesale destruction...Protestants and Catholics, clergy and laity, vied with each other for two hundred years to provide victims, and every refinement of legal ingenuity and torture was used in order to increase their number. In 1591, at Nördligen, a girl was tortured twenty-three times before she confessed...Three years later, in the same town, a woman suffered torture fifty-six times without confessing she was a witch...In the north of Italy, the great jurist Alciatus saw 100 witches burnt on one day...But those who hunted them out with cunning perseverance, and the inflexible judges who never spared their lives, firmly believed that their execution was pleasing in the sight of God...

You're always hearing Atheists say: "Christians are such dumbasses!!!  Christians are such dumbasses!!!!"

Well, truth be told, we Christians are crazy, not because Christianity is untrue, but because Christianity is true, and yet Christians don't understand Christianity.

The scriptures say there is only one True Church, only one Bride of Christ.  Yet we Christians have divided and subdivided Christianity into thousands of churches.  This is idiocy piled on top of madness!

If you insist that is brainless idiocy, well, even if you're right, even if the True Church is a Church under the sign of the cross, how does one find the True Church?  How do you escape from every false church?
